 Community Development

Community Development Program focuses on the regions of Kvemo Kartli (Gardabani) and Imereti (Tskaltubo). The project aims to encourage integration among IDPs and local populations, promote socio-economic development and public dialogue, and finally to contribute to the development of local governmental and community capacities.

The program foresees the establishment of Community Centres and Community Development Groups. Newly established community development groups and representatives of local authorities receive different trainings. The IDPs and local residents have opportunity to get together and organise common activities, use computer, attend dance classes, movie nights, prepare children's art exhibitions and other activities promoting local community development and social cohesion. Community Development groups have opportunity to get additional funding for organising common activities within Community Centres.
